Jamie Reinicke Photography
is a full service photography studio specializing in artistic portraiture and documentary wedding style photography. We are based in Charlottesville, VA and will travel where ever a shoot may take us. Our studio/office is located on West Main St in Charlottesville, where you can always come and view our work!

A few tips you can't do without....
When looking for your wedding photographer, it truly comes down to the photos. Look at the photographers portfolio, meet them in person and see different printing and album choices. You should want to see yourself in the photos they present to you. You should also ask to see an entire wedding gallery so you can really get a feel for all of the images you will be getting. Another thing to remember is you will spend a lot of time with your photographer on your big day, sometimes in very intimate moments, so make sure you like them artistically AND personally! Meet them in person or at least have a phone meeting so you can get a feel for their personality.

A Quaint and Elegant Event Location

I have always enjoyed visiting the busy downtown Richmond. For a Southsider, I do not always get on that side of town but when I do, I enjoy visiting the Douglas Baird House.

For those of you who have not visited the location, it is a very quaint and elegant banquet facility that can accommodate groups up to 120-125 with cocktail rounds or for a more intimate event it can hold up to 70 people seated. My company has used the Douglas Baird House for model rehearsals, network meetings and it is well known for weddings, holiday parties and gatherings.

On the second floor is an area which can be used for food preparation in addition all furniture and equipment can be used for your event. If you are looking for a caterer or vendor, they will gladly suggest a few favorites since they do not have an exclusive caterer or vendor list.

Complimentary parking for guests is another benefit, as it is so hard to park on the street during rush hour. If you would like to visit the Douglas Baird House, please call 804 344-8081 and ask for Karen Beckman. She is such a sweet person and will help you plan the event of your dreams.
